I grew up in Niagara Falls, NY, and the Niagara Park Region was a beautiful natural backdrop that sparked my photographic eye. I have photographed or videotaped the Niagara and Horseshoe Falls hundreds of times over the past 40 years, and nature/outdoor photography was my first love.
My dad was an amateur photographer, and he inspired me to like photography. “Of course momma’s gonna help build the wall.” While this is an ode to Pink Floyd, my mother surely did help to “build the wall.” She was also instrumental in helping build my interest in photography by buying me my first “pocket camera” when I was around 9 years old, as well as my first real SLR camera around 1978.
I reside in Albany, NY now, and in 2003 I formed a DBA business called The Digital Eye. Three years later, I incorporated this business into a Limited-Liability Company in 2006 called The Digital Eye, LLC. In these early days, my church family was very instrumental in supporting me, and providing opportunities for my business to grow.
Now, over ten years later, I still work with a number of religious institutions, and will always give church organizations a special not-for-profit rate. However, I now specialize in sports video productions and photography, as well as business-to-business services. My business got to this place after first starting out as a wedding photographer, and special events. However, I welcomed the emerging challenge of video production, and I enjoy sports, so I re-branded my business four years ago to specialize in video production.
The business services I provide include video production and photography for NYS agencies, and business services such as head shots, coverage for conferences and training events, as well as promotional video production for website or social media.
I do still shoot a couple of weddings per year, and I have a small studio, and provide portable studio photography.
What are you waiting for? Why not stop by The Digital Eye, LLC and “see how good you look.”
